WHITE HIBISCUS Common name are Jasvandi, Gurhal, Chinese hibiscus, shoe flower, Mandaram, Japa etc. It is a evergreen perennial flowering plant, blooms year around and it is one of the ancient flowering plant mostly used in every Indian Home . Maharaja sayajirao Gaekwad founded the museum in year 1887
and opened it to the public after completion in year 1894.
The transfer of special pieces from Europe that were intended to adorn the wall of the gallery were delayed due to the first world war.
